Turf laying and pruning in Alta

The assignment

The private customer in Alta wanted help with an area of about 27 square metres: turf laid from ground prep to finished lawn, including purchase and delivery. The top of a mirabelle tree also needed about three metres of crown pruning, and all garden waste had to be taken away.

What we helped with

• Ground prep: clear stones and roots, loosen the soil and top up with dressing soil
• Ordering, delivery and laying of turf
• About 3 metres of crown pruning on a mirabelle tree
• Removal of garden waste

How we worked

The customer sent photos of the plot and asked for a quote. Once it was approved we started with the ground: removed stones and roots, loosened the soil and topped up with fresh dressing soil.

We then ordered the turf, took delivery and laid it. We also pruned the top of the mirabelle tree by about three metres and removed the waste when the work was done.

Result

• The area got loosened soil with dressing soil and a newly laid lawn.
• The mirabelle tree got a clearer crown, and the plot was left without piles of waste.
